Since childhood, I can remember my maternal grandmother, Jennie Salinda and my mother sewing, knitting,
and baking. My talented mother sewed and knitted a vast amount of my sister’s and my clothing.
Most of the females in her family also knitted, crocheted, and sewed. It was expected of their generation, to be able
to make things by hand. As a result my mother taught me to knit at the young age of 10 and to sew at 12.
This started a life long love of making handcrafted items.
Sewing, knitting ,and
crocheting are a creative outlet for me and way to relax. If you are looking for a new hobby why not consider
taking up some form of creative handwork……it is so rewarding!
